One Source Talent Modeling Careers

By Michel Keeney

Finding modeling and acting work is difficult for anybody. When you're just starting out you have no connections. Your name doesn't mean anything, and it's really only your work ethic that will get you anywhere. But you also need an agency, and Why one source talent can help you out there.

Not everybody realizes the importance of an agency. Too often people think "why can't I represent myself?". The simple answer is that, you don't know anything yet. You have no connections, and really don't know where to start at first.

Normally, everybody has to audition for work in some way. Whether it be through literally going to an audition. Or sometimes companies go through one source talent to request head shots for jobs.

In either case, you first need the representation so that you can get your foot in the door. This way when jobs come up, you'll at least be considered. That gives you the chance to find meaningful employment.

Finding any job you can will be the most important thing right off the bat. Your agency can connect you with all sorts of jobs. Don't be afraid to be an extra, or to work behind the camera. All are necessary if you truly want to succeed.

For all types of actors, you need to know how a set works. Sometimes directors and producers just don't have time for new people that don't know how things work. That's why you've got to learn. The only way you can is by being on set, performing some type of job.

With modeling, see if you can do volunteer work to help out on shoots. There are tons of jobs behind the scenes at modeling gigs. Filling in with some of those helps you network, and gain experience for more jobs in the future.

If you want to truly succeed, you've got to realize that this is your career. Acting, modeling, they're not just fun excursions. This is really what you want to do for a living. That means you need to take this seriously, and you need to put in the effort to see real results.
